Hi, I’m Mel, the creative behind Northside Studio.

I’m a local photographer with over 15 years of experience in photography, marketing, and graphic design. My journey started in rural northeast Iowa along the Mississippi and for the past decade, I’ve called the Cedar Rapids-Iowa City area home.

As a proud girl mom, I know how quickly life moves—and how important it is to capture all the moments in between. I’m excited to help moms and families preserve their memories and milestones through candid family sessions.
